Screwtape Rides Again

Instapundit has a neat entry on a debate on natural law from the 1970s. Arthur Allen Leff, an atheist, channels Screwtape and articulates perfectly the argument for the existence of God that is so difficult for our current crop of atheists to grasp, or at least for Christopher Hitchens.

The Anti-Conservative Fallacy

“Is it right to legislate morality?” is a deeply confused question.   Edward Feser (who rocks, btw) untangles it and names a new logical fallacy in this piece he wrote around the Terri Schiavo case.

Atheist vs. Christian grudgematch

Is Christianity Good for the World? Indignant prophet of no-God Christopher Hitchens goes six rounds with bomb throwing Idaho pastor Doug Wilson.  Hilarity ensues. Can naturalism account for itself? Can it even understand the question? Tune in and see.

Was Einstein a believer?

Evidently not, though he was a great deal more respectful towards faith than many believers in science today.

The Unraveling of Scientific Materialism

Great article by Phillip E. Johnson which I need to read again and summarize better.  Maybe “Beware scientists bearing metaphysics.”
